Attendance Guidelines

Regular attendance plays a vital role in ensuring academic success and discipline. At Vidhyaa Vikas Matriculation Higher Secondary School, we maintain strict norms regarding attendance to help students derive maximum benefit from their education.

School begins at 8:50 a.m. sharp.

Students must arrive at least 5 minutes before the first bell.

Latecomers may not be allowed to enter the class and will be marked accordingly.

Attendance Policy

  • Regular attendance is compulsory. Absence is permitted only on genuine health grounds or under unavoidable circumstances with prior approval.
  • Parents must send a written leave note or apply for leave in advance to the Principal. In case of emergencies, the leave letter should be sent on the following day.
  • Prior sanction must be obtained from the Principal for planned leaves.
  • Absence without intimation or continued leave without valid reason may lead to disciplinary action.
  • A student suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should not attend school until fully recovered. A fitness certificate may be required upon return.
  • Irregular attendance and habitual absence will be viewed seriously and may result in dismissal from school.
  • A student is liable to be detained in the same class if his/her attendance falls below 90% during the academic year, unless valid and documented reasons are provided.

Maintaining punctuality and consistent attendance is a shared responsibility between the school and parents. Your co-operation is essential to ensure the academic progress and discipline of your child.
